Testimonials

Tim’s House has provided such an incredibly stabilizing force to the Bridges Program. Many of these younger guys would not be able to complete the program without this safe and stable place to live—hats off to the work the Tim Griffith Foundation is doing.

Client Story

The impact of the Tim Griffith Foundation is most effectively illustrated by the stories of the individuals benefiting from our support.

John* is one such example. In his late twenties, John came to Tim’s House directly from prison. He grew up in a family where alcoholism was prevalent. As a young man, he did obtain his GED and earned a degree in Information Technology. However, once his alcohol and cocaine abuse spiraled into daily methamphetamine use, he began committing online ID theft and fraud to pay for his addiction. By the time he came to Tim’s House, he had earned several felonies and had been incarcerated seven times over the past ten years. Upon arrival at Tim’s House, he immediately enrolled in Bridges, a one-year intensive outpatient day treatment program for drug offenders. After successfully participating in the Bridges Program for several months, he obtained steady employment and returned to school, enrolling in solar power trade classes. He invested in the training, really enjoyed himself, and graduated with the highest scores in his class. John recently graduated from the Bridges Program, has been clean and sober for over two years and hopes to get into a career in solar energy engineering.
